Bodega home | Sonoma County
home | Marin County home

The residents of this home wanted to transform their
dark, outdated galley kitchen into an open, well-lighted
place where several people could enjoy the cooking experience
together.
The quality made cabinets are handcrafted by a local
cabinetmaker, with specialty hardware for a whimsical
look in the kitchen. Sonoma Reflections worked
closely with the owners of the home, designing each
cabinet on the computer, until every kitchen item had
a place.
On one side the countertops are custom fabricated from
bianco romano granite. On the other side, Madrone
butcher block tops provide a utilitarian alternative
for gourmet cooking. All back splashes are from
the garnet jeweled granite.
Lighting fixtures are designed and hand-made by local
artisans. Throughout the kitchen, new energy efficient
appliances make kitchen tasks more ecologically sound.
Natural linoleum floors are inlaid with a playful pattern,
reflecting the owners family heritage.
During the entire remodel process, Sonoma Reflections
kept everything on track and within budget. In the end,
the owners had a beautiful new kitchen that met their
aesthetic, functional, ecological and financial goals.
